How to get to the Osa Peninsula

From San José, take the Interamerican highway to Chacarita. At the Gas station crossing, turn to the right and go straight from there. You can also type "Osa Wild" into Waze or Google Maps and it'll take you here. Or you can use this link to our exact location.

Approximate duration: 5-6 hours.
Note: You don't require a 4x4 car to reach Puerto Jimenez.

From San José, take the direct bus with Transportes Blanco Lobo, via Costanera highway to Puerto Jiménez. The station is located in Barrio México, Tomás Guardia road, avenue 9, right next to the San Carlos and Monteverde bus stop). Find here a link to the exact location.

Take a flight

Costa Rica Green Airways fly once a day to and from Puerto Jimenez. We recommend this option for an interactive flight with comments from the pilots and beverages to enjoy the views from the sky. The flights depart from SJO to PJ at 8:45a.m. and from PJ to SJO at  9:45a.m.

Sansa Airlines fly on a daily basis to Puerto Jiménez. For private charters from anywhere in the country you can contact us directly.

Take a bus to Golfito at 6:30 am with TRACOPA. Once in Golfito, take a boat to Puerto Jiménez.

  • Bus SJO - Golfito: 6-7 hours
  • Boat Golfito - Puerto Jiménez: 30 minutes
