How to Book a Tour with Osa WILD

Before Booking:
  1. Explore the options available on our website (for customized or private tours you must contact us first).
  2. Ask all the questions you might have and clear all your doubts about routes, itineraries, extra services, logistics, etc.
  3. Choose your tour/activity!

Booking:
  1. If you want to book more than one tour you should go to our Full Online Reservation Catalog
  2. Click on "Book Now".
  3. Select the dates and amount of people.
  4. Add the extras you want to include (if necessary).
  5. Only if you're in the Full Online Reservation Catalog you can include side activities by clicking the green button "Add to Booking".
  6. Fill in your personal information.
  7. Read the payment policies and check the box. Then, click "Continue".
  8. Your booking will be created!

Payment:
  1. Depending upon the tour/activity you are booking, you will be able to pay right away or will need to wait for our confirmation; details will be sent to your email either way.
  2. Once we confirm your spaces and the minimum of participants for your tour we will send you the payment link.
  3. Now you can pay!

Important Note: All Corcovado tours need to wait for our confirmation. This confirmation can only happen until six months before the tour's initial date. Overnight and day tours run with a minimum of 2 participants. If you're a solo traveler we'll keep you informed.

If you're booking a Corcovado tour, we will update the name of your guide, meeting point and time in your Invoice so keep an eye on the update notification!
If starting from Pto. Jimenez, we encourage you to come to our office the day before your tour.

ACCOMODATION

With this option, you'll have the opportunity to explore Corcovado National Park's southeast area, Carate and La Leona Ranger Station.

First day: You’ll do a guided day tour into Corcovado National Park, La Leona sector. This is a low difficulty path in which you walk about 6 to 8 km. On this trail it's possible to see 4 species of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, anteaters, poison dart frogs and many other animals. Also, on this trail, it’s fairly frequent to observe the second biggest feline in our country, the puma.

That evening you'll have the opportunity to do a night tour (not included in the price), either in the forest or on the beach, looking for marine turtles (when in season from June to December) and other nocturnal wildlife.

‍Second Day: Full day off at La Leona Eco Lodge. This is a wonderful tent-cabin accommodation right in front of the beach, next door to Corcovado National Park's main entrance.

Corcovado One Day Tour

05:20 a.m. Meet with the guide at Hellen's Chill House in Puerto Jimenez (you can buy snacks and breakfast for the hike here).
05:30 a.m. Take a shared taxi from Puerto Jimenez to Carate.
‍07:30 a.m. Arrival at Carate. Begin walking 3.5 Km to get to the park’s entrance.
‍08:30 a.m. Register at the La Leona Ranger Station. Hike the Madrigal Trail
‍10:00 a.m. Arrival at the Madrigal River. Hike the Paradise Trail.
‍1:30 a.m. Arrival at the Hedionda Creek and Lunch (not included) Hike back towards La Leona station.
‍12:30 Hike back towards La Leona station.
‍02:00 p.m. Check-in at La Leona Ecolodge. End of the day tour.
‍02:00-06:30 p.m. Free time at the lodge.
‍06:30-07:00 p.m. Dinner (included).
‍07:15 p.m. Night hike (optional, not included).
‍09:00 p.m. Bedtime.

  • 1-2 liters of water (single-use plastic bottles are not allowed inside national parks).
  • Snacks (mixed nuts, dry fruits, cereal/granola bars, and cookies).
  • Hiking shoes (protected, comfortable, and preferably waterproof).
  • Light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, swimsuit, raincoat and sandals.
  • Passport (it can be a copy or a clear picture).
  • Sunblock.
  • Bug repellent.
  • Flashlight.
  • Towel.
  • Waterproof bag.
  • Hiking backpack.

La Leona Eco Lodge

La Leona Eco Lodge provides tent-cabins designed for a unique glamping experience. The accommodations are surrounded by magical, scenic views, where  guests can wake up to fresh ocean breezes, hear the music of the Costa Rican rainforest, and experience the most amazing sunsets in the country.

All cabins include double or single beds, a small table, two chairs in on a wooden deck and a shared bathroom.
