This tour starts in Puerto Jiménez taking a boat towards Sirena. The boat ride offers amazing views of Corcovado and the Pacific Ocean. There's the possibility of encountering dolphins, turtles, or even whales depending on the season (July to November and December to January).
After the 1h 30 min boat transfer, you will enjoy hiking the trails around the Sirena Biological Station looking for all forms of wildlife. On this tour, you get to appreciate that Corcovado is home to thousands of species of plants and trees that sustain a great diversity of wildlife. Monkeys, anteaters, toucans, scarlet macaws, coatis, poison dart frogs, and snakes might appear on the way. If you are one of the lucky ones, you'll have the chance to see the biggest land mammal in America, the Tapir!
This tour includes lunch at Sirena Station right before taking the boat back out.

5:20 a.m. Meet with your guide at the local public pier in Puerto Jiménez.
5:30 a.m. Boat transfer from Puerto Jiménez to the Sirena Biological Station.
7:15 a.m. Arrival at Sirena. Registration and initial briefing.
7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Hike the trails around the station.
11:00 a.m. Eat lunch at Sirena Station.
12:00 Hike the trail back to the boat's departure area.
1:00 p.m. Boat from Sirena to Puerto Jiménez.
2:30 p.m. Arrival in Puerto Jiménez. End of tour.


- 1-2 liters of water (single-use plastic bottles are not allowed inside national parks).
- Hiking shoes (protected, comfortable, and preferably waterproof).
- Light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, raincoat and sandals.
- Passport (it can be a copy or a clear picture).
- Sunblock.
- Bug repellent.
- Waterproof bag.
- Hiking backpack.
