Corcovado Wild Trek is the ultimate adventure—an affordable and unique way to explore Corcovado National Park. Your journey begins with a scenic boat ride from Puerto Jiménez to the Sirena coastline, where you’ll arrive at the official check-in point near Sirena Biological Station. From there, instead of heading toward the station, your trek takes you in the opposite direction—deep into Corcovado’s unspoiled wilderness on an awe-inspiring journey to La Leona Station.

Trek through lush secondary forests, wade across rivers, and discover hidden waterfalls while immersing yourself in Corcovado’s untouched beauty—far from the crowds. Experience Corcovado as it was meant to be—raw, wild, and deeply immersive.

Along the way, you might spot vibrant scarlet macaws, playful spider monkeys, curious anteaters, majestic tapirs, and if you’re lucky, the elusive puma. More than just a tour, this adventure is a deep connection with untouched nature—an experience that will leave you with lasting memories.

This 20 km (12.4-mile) trek through Corcovado’s hot and humid rainforest is physically demanding, but with the right preparation and mindset, hikers of various ages and fitness levels have successfully completed it. Expect challenging terrain, river crossings, and plenty of adventure, but also breathtaking landscapes and a deep sense of accomplishment. If you’re ready for a rewarding challenge in one of Earth’s most spectacular ecosystems, the Corcovado Wild Trek is for you!
