Oldemar is a native surfer from the Osa Peninsula. Known locally as Pollo, he has proven to be the best and funniest surf teacher.
You will first receive an explanation and a demonstration of all the basic positions and movements to practice before entering the water. After you've rehearsed and perfected all these moves, you'll head out into the water and start surfing some waves with the help of your instructor.
Surf lessons are held at Pan Dulce beach, located in the Cabo Matapalo area, about 18 km from Puerto Jiménez. It's a place with pristine waters where lessons take place at low tide when the beach has waves that are perfect for beginners; tides change on a daily basis. Be sure to ask when the tour begins on your preferred date.
This tour doesn't include transport between Pto. Jimenez and Matapalo.

This tour takes place at low tide, which changes daily. Be sure to ask when the tour begins on your preferred date.
You will have about 30 minutes of instructions on the beach and then, you will enter with your instructor for about 1.5 hours in the water to ride some waves!
