Maria's Hearth
A brief, delicious stop at Finca Rayuela Osa: a walk through the garden, a moment by the hearth with María, and a shared lunch featuring the day's harvest.

It is a simple, authentic space—featuring an earthen floor, a handmade hearth, and mismatched dishes—where you can experience Costa Rican hospitality just as it is in the countryside. Upon arrival, guests sit down to a lunch prepared by María while chatting about the ingredients and the traditional Costa Rican cooking behind each dish. Visitors are welcomed with a drink and a short tour of the farm and garden—amidst chickens, banana plants, and the smoke from the wood-burning stove—on the way to María’s kitchen. To wrap things up, there is time to relax with a cup of coffee and a gorgeous view to the Golfo Dulce.
