Step into María’s kitchen at Finca La Balsa and experience the warmth of authentic Costa Rican country life. Welcomed with a refreshing drink, you’ll take a short walk through the farm and garden, surrounded by chickens, banana plants, and the comforting aroma of a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is a simple, welcoming space, with an earthen floor, a handmade hearth, and mismatched dishes that reflect the beauty of everyday rural traditions.
Take a seat at the table and enjoy a homemade Costa Rican lunch prepared by María, while sharing stories and discovering the local ingredients and traditional cooking techniques behind each dish.
