This option is ideal for those who want to discover and learn more about the amazing world of corals and the actions led by a non-profit organization in the Osa Peninsula.

We start early in the morning at Puerto JimΓ©nez dock taking a boat to Punta Adela. On the beautiful boat ride, you will meet the professionals behind this project and local captains from Golfito.

Then, you will start the underwater trail for about 1 hour long and identify different marine species and learn the importance of coral reefs in our ecosystem. After the delightful immersion in the mild tropical waters, we will all share fruits and drinks, while having an awe-inspiring conversation. After this little break, and before returning to Puerto Jimenez, you will enjoy swimming around the reef.

The underwater trail of Punta Adela was inaugurated in 2022, Β in order to complement the tourism that takes place on the site with an educational experience, promote the economy of coastal communities and generate a greater appreciation for coral reefs. On the other hand, Raising Coral has placed underwater demonstration stations to contribute to the restoration of coral reefs at the Golfo Dulce.
