All about Full Peninsula Discovery

This is the best option for those wanting to see both gateway towns of Corcovado, Puerto Jimenez, and Drake. Also, if you specifically want to dive or snorkel at Caño Island this package is for you.

First day: We start early in the morning in Puerto Jimenez, taking the shared taxi to Carate, where we'll start the 20 Km hike to the Sirena Biological Station. This 7 to 9-hour hike is known for its intense biodiversity and adventurous river crossings.

Second day: You get to explore the trails around Sirena, less hurried and without any weight on your back. This is a slower day where you get to observe and learn more in detail about tropical lowland rainforests, and you visit Sirena's ancient primary forests.

Afterward, at noon you take the boat out to Drake, appreciating the amazing views of Corcovado and the Pacific Ocean. There's the possibility of encountering dolphins, turtles, or even whales depending on the season (July to November and December to January)

You can choose to start in Puerto Jimenez and end in Drake or start in Drake and end in Puerto Jimenez (with the second option you get the full first day at Sirena, then the second day you hike out to Carate).

Have in mind that, if you will stay on the other side of the Peninsula after your tour, you might need the luggage transfer service between PJ and Drake. We don't recommend doing any Corcovado hike with more than 6 kilograms on your back. Policies apply for the luggage transfer, you can read them here: Luggage Transfer Policies.

If you're coming in a rented car we can help you move it to the other side of the Peninsula. Ask about our car relocation service. Policies apply for the car relocation service, you can read them here: Car Relocation Policies.
