All about Gold Town, Nature, and History

El Tigre is a small village located northwest of Puerto Jimenez and is known for its wealth in gold and history. The two arms of the Tigre River nourish this place with life and the precious mineral that has been extracted by hand for many years.

On the tour, you will visit the Tigre area of Corcovado National Park. The trail is a loop of approximately 8 Km with steep hills and very active hiking. This area is covered by primary forest, where you can visit waterfalls, viewpoints, natural pools and tunnels used to extract gold.

At dusk, you will do a night tour to look for amphibians and reptiles. This package includes accommodation and 3 meals at a cozy home with a local family departing and going back to Pto. Jimenez.
