All about Monkeys of Osa

Learn about the fascinating world of Costa Rican primates with local primatologist Daniela Solano, the founder of Saimiri Foundation, established in 2010 to protect the country's natural resources, particularly its primate population.

Your tour will begin early in the morning in Puerto Jimenez as you head to Playa Tamales with your guide, Daniela. During the tour, she will provide you with detailed information about the four primate species that inhabit our country.

Next, you will go with your expert guide, Daniela, to observe the monkeys in their natural habitat, taking notes on their location, behavior, and demographics. Along the way, you will learn about the rainforest's natural history and the complex relationships among its inhabitants.

After the tour, you will have a refreshing break with some snacks before returning to Puerto Jimenez.

Things to bring: hiking shoes, light or earth-colored clothes, and binoculars (optional).
